Daniel E. Holloway, a resident of Meridian, Idaho, and a member of Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) Branch 382, was recently elected as President of the Association’s Northwest Region. Holloway will serve as a member of the Association’s National Board of Directors for 2013-2014, representing FRA shipmates who reside in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Alaska, Hawaii, Japan and the Philippines.
Regional President Holloway has been a member of FRA since 1979 and has held a variety of leadership positions at the local and regional levels. He has served as vice president, president and as a member of branch 382’s board of directors, and as regional vice president (2012-2013).
“I look forward to serving the shipmates of the Northwest Region and all service members and veterans in representing their interests on Capitol Hill,” said Holloway of his election, referencing FRA’s legislative advocacy on behalf of current and former service members and their families.
Holloway enlisted in the Navy in September of 1969 and retired from military service in 1988. During his successful military career, he served in several naval attack squadrons during and after the Vietnam War, and earned numerous performance awards, including the Navy Achievement, National Defense Service, and Vietnam Campaign medals. He worked as a manufacturing supervisor in the civilian sector after he left active duty service.
